Schmidt Electronics Group was staging an
appeal for the victims and redevelopment of the battered
areas in Taiwan caused by the typhoon "Morakot" which
struck Taiwan last month. The typhoon has resulted in
massive and extensive flooding and mudslides in a number
of townships and villages, leaving ten of thousands people
evacuated and the death toll to over 500. We have successfully
raised $NT100K from staff and corporate and this fund
will go to The Red Cross Society of The Republic of China
to help victims to restore their life and to rebuild their
houses.
